Dear John Jay Community,
I hope this letter continues finding all of you well and excited to begin a new school year, albeit in hybrid form.
Ever-present challenges remain in front of us and yet 网上赌博- 网络赌博游戏 stands ready to receive and welcome our students back to school. We have missed them and we know they have missed school, their peers, and the normal routines of their lives since these unprecedented events unfolded last March. The staff was then and is now, ready to assist in sharing your burdens as well celebrating good times and creating lasting memories for our students.
It is understood beginning the school year in the hybrid model will warrant some continued sacrifice and isn’t the regular daily school experience. Yet, we have learned much from last spring’s experiences and in collaboration with the community, have developed plans reflective of that learning. Thank you to all who participated in our forums and committees for your ongoing feedback and contributing towards increasing our collective capacity.
Ongoing communication between home and school is critical as we continue learning about students’ experiences. We will continue monitoring progress, listening to your feedback, and adapting as situations require. Despite the continued uncertainty regarding the trajectory of the virus, we remain committed to delivering students the best quality education possible while keeping them cared for and connected in person and at home. Everyone’s cooperation will be needed daily, as we collectively cope with the inevitable inconveniences and sacrifices that will be necessary, including the wearing of masks and maintaining social distancing to the greatest extent possible, in order to keep everyone safe and whole.
As was reinforced last spring, learning is a highly social endeavor. Our staff is highly attuned to the fact that caring and connectedness is something our students need most of all, and will dedicate the first weeks of school to building those connections and relationships with students that ensure their success and well-being.
We hope to expand opportunities and normalize the students’ experiences throughout the year as much as conditions allow. However, it also the case that we must be able to switch to an exclusive remote environment at a moment’s notice. We will be ready to do that if necessary.
Last year showed if we pull together and support each other, we can still make positive memories and learning experiences for students. Let us re-commit to that spirit of commitment and ingenuity in the service of all 网上赌博- 网络赌博游戏’s students.
I look forward to seeing our students on September 10th.
Thank you for your continued support and good wishes on the 2020-21 school year.
